Can I work while awaiting MEB?

I'm told I'll be reviewed by a MEB, which will take up to nine months. I'd like to know if I can work in my regular job, mostly at a desk, while waiting for the MEB to run its course. Thanks.

No reason you shouldn't be able to, absent some other facts.

My Primary Care Manager said I'd be possibly able to do limited duty, like four hours per day. I want to move to my next assignment which requires a full-time effort. I'm considering cutting off my PCS orders so I can stay in the DC area pending the MEB result. But, I just don't have a definitive answer to whether or not I'd be permitted to work full time. My PCM isn't available for discussion and my case manager doesn't seem sure, but this is a critical question.

You cannot normally PCS while an MEB is pending. I have seen exceptions, but this is the normal rule. This normally lasts until disposition of the MEB and/or PEB.
