Command not following Limdu orders

My neurologist updated my Limdu orders to restrict hours worked per day and no morning formations at 0630. This is due insomnia and migraine residuals from my TBI. The new 1st Sgt has decided he doesn’t want to follow Limdu orders. What recourse do I have?

Patient advocacy is usually the route people go if they have issues with doctors, but you have an issue with your senior enlisted. Assuming your LIMDU expressly states you need to avoid a morning formation/your workday must start at such and such time, consider requesting mast to your company commander after consulting with top.

Before you get to that point, review your verbiage in the chit and discuss clarifying it with neuro. If your doctor is very hard to reach, just do the prior notice.

If you are simply referring to the work duty hour limitation, you'll have a hard time getting your command to follow that. I was given an 8 hour workday with light physical requirements, when I attempted to show that to command they called medical and the doctor verbally stated that that only applies to a regular workday. After I had a regular workday issue, they stated that limitation was out of date (the signature was the most current date).

After so much struggle I gave up. Wasn't worth command retaliation. If this is your situation, I suggest you pick your battles.

My old 1Sgt that was in Golf had moved to HQ. He heard the new 1Sgt verbal assaults due my limited processing and memory issues. He worked his magic and had me pulled to HQ Company with him.
