I Just emailed the PDBR on Thursday and was surprised to see a reply this morning.

My understanding was that my case was still in adjudication as of April 2015 AND the PDBR's decision was not forwarded to the Army until May or 2016. The last correspondence I received through the mail was in April of 2015 which was the notification of the Adjudication Progress.

The information they send to me via email is conflicting. I'm not sure what to think of this.

Mr Speedyhawk101

The PDBR has made a recommendation to the Army DDA in APR 2015. They have not provided us with their final decision nor have they loaded it into their database. I recommend contacting the ARBA:

Army Review Boards Agency
251 18th Street South, Suite 385
Arlington, VA 22202-3531
Telephonic assistance is available at 1-703-545-6900

Please try contacting the following POC from the disability separations/retirement section of the Army Review Boards Agency: Ms. Beth Boyd, (703) 325-2623.

Respectfully,

Physical Disability Board of Review

Subject: Status of Claim

Dear Sir/Ma'am

I last emailed in the fall of 2016. I was told the PDBR had sent its decision to the Army in May of 2016, however I never received notification of this movement regarding my case.

I'd like to know if the PDBR has any information regarding my case.

My claim number is: PD2014014XX

August 2016 Email:

Sir,

Your case was adjudicated and our recommendation was sent to the Army for their final action. The Army will contact you via letter with their final decision. Unfortunately, we cannot discuss your case.

To whom it may concern,

I am requesting a status update for my case, #14-014XX. Please advise of any progress. My last correspondence was 11 May 2015. Is my case still in the adjudication process?

Respectfully

Sept 2016 Email:

Sir,

Your case recommendation was sent to the Army for their final action in May. The Army normally takes about two months to complete their decision process, however they are currently experiencing delays due to technical issues. They will promptly contact you via letter with their final decision as soon as it is reached. We apologize for the delay and ask for your continued patience.

With our utmost respect,

Physical Disability Board of Review

PDBR,

Is it possible to know the date that my case was sent to the Army?

It appears the PDBR and various component boards could use a better, interagency tracking system. No single component can see any other step in the process. There is no overall information management.
I finally started receiving responses to my email as well, telling me to check back in 4 weeks to see if the adjudication had final signatures and sent to the Army by then.

The biggest problem I have is that there has been no unsolicited communication from any agency. When my case moved to the Army I was never notified. The last letter I was sent was April or May or 2015 stating that my case was adjudicated. In sept 2016 PDBR says it was sent to the Army in May of 2016. BUT the email I received on 25 Mar 2017 says my case was sent to the Army in April of 2015!!! WTF what is the actual timeline? When did my case go where? They don't have a clue and neither do I. I'm approaching three years............

I just got a reply from ARBA.

Our system shows your case was considered by the Board. Please provide a current address and we will send copies of the decision documents to you.

I replied with my address and have already received an email stating that the documents have been sent.

This is such a goat screw.

Being that I've contacted Al a few times (Jan and early Mar) and I'm not in his database I'm assuming that I was not recommended an increase.

I'll let y'all know how this pans out here in a couple days.

Well, I hope you are pleasantly surprised. Just remember that you've gotten along okay up until now and you can handle whatever news that letter may bring.

Any news speedyhawk? I am so hopeful for you! Your case seems to have taken the longest of anyone here!

Nope. Nothing yet. I was hoping to see something by Saturday.

Honestly it seems like my case was literally lost in the shuffle. I'm wondering if it was sent to an old address or if it was never sent at all.

My address hasn't changed in almost 11 years.

Prior to this address I lived with my in laws for about 6 months and prior to that I was stationed in Germany.

AND THIS IS WHY I WAS CONFUSED AT THE TIMELINE!!!

The Army signed off on this back in July 2016. I'm just now getting notified AND I had to contact ARBA to get the documents mailed to me. Wow!

My case wasn't updated in any system it was just lost.

Who did you reach out to is there a number to call where I can talk directly to someone

My case is almost 18 months and I can't even get a status update on mine.. no decision or any advisory opinions at all.
