Do we as a family get ins for any amount of time? Do we have to switch to truncate standard I am so tired of getting 100 answers the tricare lady said we had to switch to standard but once he etsd we have no insurance! What's right?

Just ask for a supervisor or when they answer ask for full name and direct number so you can call them back.
So he's not getting TDRL or PDRL, so yes you still get Tricare Standard for 180 days after seperation... When you go turn your I.D. Cards in they will automatically enroll you in Tricare Standard at the DEERS office (usually it's the same office.)
