Still no response for me. I had an update on my va.gov account yesterday, and in my e-benefits portal, my claims say "Pending Decision Approval." That's about the only update I have.

So at what point did you request to get into Skillbridge? Before or after you rcvd your retirement date? And you were then given the opportunity to stretch out your retirement date IOT provide time to attend Skillbridge?

When did you apply for Skillbridge during the MEB process?
Hey Swizzy, Copter,

It's a bit multifaceted. I started to meet the requirements, documentation, and TAPS in October. As soon as I knew the MEB request was coming down, I started to get everything ready. I started to apply to Skillbridge programs like Hiring our Heroes (HOH) and talking to employers even before formal approval. ACTUALLY, I highly recommend getting a signed memo (just something you can draft up) and having it signed by supervisor/commander saying they support your effort to use Skillbridge. I got my results in January and immediately applied for formal approval on the virtual education site.

You shouldn't retire/separate until Skillbridge is over (max 180 days), so I got extended from like Feb 21 to Apr 21. PLUS, I had my leave days (56) so I made it all the way to June 21.

Cheers! Sorry for the delayed response!

Did the docs offer a more conservative treatment than the injectors or go straight to those? There are lesser ways to attack if it is mild. I’m just getting the sense that the GI doc I have wants to call it Crohns and go to injectors when it is being controlled with other meds.
Also, am I reading things correctly that you can get an extension for skillbridge? I might not make 20 AD but can make 20 Reserve if I stretch it.
