Hello all new to this board have a couple of questions...

In December 2011 I was medically retired out of the Army through the WTU. I received a rations from the Army 80% and 90% VA (50% PTSD TDRL Migraines 50% 10% lower back strain 10% right ankle sprang.

In June 2012 have reval for PTSD and VA increased my PTSD to 70% with now being taken of of TRDL and now permanent 90% VA and 80% army. All above ratings are service connected.

More information specific to me. I did just over 10yrs total service and retired as an E-5 with 3yrs time in grade.

I just learned about CSCP and submitted my packet, the application form. Copy of DD214 deployment documentation of 5 deployments. Copies of orders for combat action badge, awards for taking control while in contact with enemy medical records and such.

The questions I have is as follows:

1: Should I expect compensation from this program.
2: if so any idea how much.
3: is there a long back logg currently to get paid this entitlement.

I have read tons of forums but have heard tons of different answers. Don't really know what to think.

Are you talking abour CRSC? If so, it will be all about how you connect the dots between your injuries and combat. Provide as much documentation as you can, and make sure when you describe each condition, that you make it easy to understand the connection.

I am in the same boat bud. I have a rating for PTSD too. My local Veteran Service Officer is going to put my packet in the next few weeks. I was an E5 active 9 years and multiple deployments to OIF and OEF too. He says that I should get it, so you should too. He definitely knows more about the program and we do. God Bless you bud, for anyone willing to sacrifice for their country deserves a smile on the way out.

Did DoD determine any of your conditions to be 'combat related'?

Welcome to the PEB Forum! :)

Congratulations on your receipt of DoD PDRL with its associated rating to include the DoVA ratings.

In addition, I have a couple of questions as follows:

1. Prior to military medical retirement, were you in the legacy DES or the new DoD IDES?
2. What were your PEB referred unfitting medical conditions?
3. If new DoD IDES, what were your DoVA ratings assigned with each PEB referred unfitting medical conditions?
4. If legacy DES, what were your DoD ratings for each PEB referred unfitting medical conditions?
5. What were your DoVA ratings associated with each VA claimed medical conditions?

Moreover, the DoD rating and DoVA rating you annotated seems to not meet the combined VA math test. With the combined VA math, PTSD 50% + Migraines 50% + Lower back strain 10% + Right ankle sprain 10% = 80%, but PTSD 70% + Migraines 50% + Lower back strain 10% + Right ankle sprain 10% = 90%; therefore, which is your overall DoD rating and/or which is your overall DoVA rating?

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Best Wishes!
