DA 199

Hopefully this isn't a repeat question I saw some answers but none of them relate to the new DA199. I understand what people are saying about the 10 a b c or d thing, But on the new form dated march 2012 there is no 10 a b c or d. I think the new section for this would be section V. Here's what I'm trying to figure out. I've already been told that the VA won't be recouping my entitlements but how do I tell if I can apply to receive the money that is going to be taxed back.

Are you talking about conditions being combat related or not? What money is going to be taxed?

The V thing is the same as the 10 thing.

V1, V2, V3, V4

Relates to the injuries being tax exempt or not

Guys, I am looking at my paperwork so I can do my severance pay tax recoupment but cant find my page 4. Where the heck can I find a blank copy of this? I dont know if my toddler fried my brain today or what, but whenever I look for it, all I get is the regulations. Getting a bit frustrated.

Okay, I am pretty sure that the page is the instruction page, but still, it might help to have it for the "smart" people at IRS or DFAS. Thanks.

In support of your inquiry, please reference the attachment for your potential assistance. That said, I provided a copy of my DA Form 199 (MAR 2012) page 4 of 4 in redaction.

Moreover, the DA Form 199 (MAR 2012) version seems to be a "restricted" document; therefore, it's not available via the Internet in electronic format without U.S. Army G-1 approved authorization. That said, reference the attachment for details.

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."

Thanks, Warrior644! I did FINALLY locate my page 4. Apparently, I am way more organized than I thought I was, and I have learned over time that it behooves me to keep multiple copies in multiple locations. The complete copy was in my I Love Me Book. :-)

You are welcome! :)

All right, that's good to hear! Yes, I agree! We have the same "I Love Me Book" which has been very beneficial throughout our military careers.
