DD214 medical retirement question

Hi everyone long story short I had my discharge changed to a medical retirement. When they issued my NEW DD214 in the remarks sections it says medical retirement but then goes on and lists my medical diagnosis.

Can anyone tell me if their DD214 or if it's normal to have personal medical diagnosis listed in the remarks section?

It just seems a little weird if I provide my DD214 for employment preference or other benefits I really don't want random people seeing or knowing my medical conditions. Obviously it would say medical retirement and maybe rating but I was shocked to see the specific medical conditions.

I would greatly appreciate anyone's feedback.

Thank You

I have seen Block 28 filled with Disability Permanent or Temporary. Not sure why someone would annotate specific medical conditions. I am looking at AR 635-5-1 for clarification but will request an answer from legal Monday. Please contact your legal representative at your installation. It does seem weird. Also, the legal experts on this site have seen many DD 214s so maybe they may chime in when they see your post.

Thank you so much. I have been out for a long time so I don't have any military installations near me. To be more specific it's Box 18 I was referring to. This is the exact wording.

This DD form 214 has been administratively reissued. Good Conduct Medal period commences: 20070423. Noncreditable delayed entry program: 20070404-20070422. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (EPTS-SA) (Stable), VA Diagnostic Code (DC) 9411, rated at 50% NCR, NCZ

I spoke with Retirement Services at Fort Eisenhower this morning and they have never seen medical diagnoses annotated in block 18 or any block on a DD 214.

I just got a call back from HQ they apologized and said someone didn't know what they were doing they stopped listing medical information decades ago and it's against policy and HIPPA to list that on the DD214.
