So, here's the scenario. I was going through the med board process and have already received my ratings. I was awarded 80% DOD and 90% VA. I have a total of 18 years in service (12 years active duty and the rest Guard). I received my retirement orders which designates my retirement date on 06/13/2016. I recently asked my unit for an updated copy of my DD214, but they informed me that I wouldn't receive one. I was told that I would instead receive a NGB23. What is that? Can anyone give me any guidance on this matter?

Are you Air Force or Army Guard? Were you AGR at time of PEB? You probably have your 214 by now, just saw this message.
