Hey all! I wanted to make this thread to discuss December Findings since I have just gotten my results back.

I am currently in the Marine Corps (East Coast).

Date of injury: Dec 2019
Light Duty: January 2020
MED Board Process: August 2021
IDES Paperwork sent: September 30, 2021
QTC Appointments: October 21, 2021
EMEBR/NARSUM: November 23, 2021
VA Ratings back: December 4, 2021
Sent/Accepted to PEB: December 14, 2021
Results: March 7, 2022 - Found Unfit.

My PEBLO told me this was the fastest case he has seen in three years, but wanted to give a timeline for people.

Would you mind sharing the referred condition?

I was referred for low back pain (A couple of herniated disks, fractured spine, radiculopathy). The only one that I had sent to the PEB was the fractured spine which they categorized as "low back pain".

I think one thing that helped was that as soon as the injury happened, I kept track of every little detail and all paperwork. They had a complete case before I was even referred to a MED Board.

Nice good for you brother glad someone had a speedy process. I kept all my paperwork too for everything so hopefully it helps me out.

That’s awesome. I’m glad someone is getting speedy processing ! Here I was thinking my November case was moving fast! Lol

A little unrelated update: after getting my findings, I sent out more disability claims to the VA for disabilities related to the original injury. I’m not sure if it would have been better to list them all in my original package or if it would have slowed down the process, but will update on how fast they get back.

Update:

March 23rd, 2022: Signed findings (FINALLY!!!)

It took around two weeks from the findings to receive my package from the PEB.

The MO signed my package as unfit on 2-25-2022, and the Presiding Officer signed my package as unfit on 3-1-2022

Holy cow. Congrats. I was found unfit 2 days after you. Hoping to be right there with you. Been POST VA QA ready since 7 March.

Did you just keep checking your BIR on MOL?
Hey, not quite.

I was sleuthing around on here and found an email I could send a request to: [email protected].

I messaged them and they informed me they received my findings last week. They then told me my new EAS date, but also told me it can take up to a week before it reflects in MOL. It took them around two days to email me back.

What all did you have to send

EAS Updated: April 6th, 2022, exactly two weeks after findings were signed
What did they give you for an EAS? If you don't mind me asking. And how many days of leave did you have saved up? I'm trying to get a good estimate of what mine might be. Thanks.

You can request any EAS date you want. If they give you one that is too far out or not long enough, just email them with your requested EAS date. You have to CC your CO and SgtMaj in the same email though for them to consider it.
