Decision -- Retired Pay Computation

Rec'd my IPEB decision today. It was submitted on 8 Jul 08. I have been diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis with primarily cognitive symptoms.

The IPEB decided to Permanently Retire me at 30%.

I should have my retitrement effective date in 7 - 10 days.

My question is....as a retired, 30%, prior enlisted (11yrs enlisted, 6 as officer) captain with 17 years in...I cannot figure out the amount we will get per month.

I've read this board a thousand times but it is so hard to think when the decision about YOU comes down.

Thanks, Jason - for having this board,

mtusaf,

I am glad to hear you received a retirement finding. Hopefully, things go well with your conditions and your transition.

As to what you will receive, it should be based on length of service calculation, i.e., 17 times 2.5 = 42.5 % times the average of your high 36 months of base pay. I hope this helped and I hope you check in from time to time to let us know how you are doing.
No thanks are necessary, glad to help!
