Dependents added to claim?

What does it mean if dependency claims have been added to your ebenefits claim? My wife and son were added to my claim status, which has said "pending decision approval" for a month.

I don't have anything in historical claims. The PEB, and my PEBLO say that they received my stuff back from the VA, and are waiting on some kind of letter. But the VA says they haven't reached a decision. This whole thing started in June.

PEB was accepted on Aug 8th, and I haven't been told if I'm unfit yet. I'm just super confused, and need help.

Maybe adding dependents during process is new. When I medically retired I turned in my DD 214 to the VA I also had to fill out VA Form 21-686c, which is the dependency form, and turn it in as well. I did this as soon as I had my DD 214 in hand but still had some days left on terminal leave. Possibly they are adding your dependents now. Did you turn in a VA Form 21-686c? If not I would call VA and ask.

Did you ever find out why your dependency claim was added? I just came up on this situation myself, it happened after my Peblo sent all my paperwork to the VA to request ratings. I checked my ebenefits and I went from Pending Decision Approval back to Pending Decision Approval and my Dependency Claim adding all my kids and wife.
 
When my claim went historical, my dependents were added to my original claim.
