Sharing my timeline for everyone and to help anyone through this long (or short) process. I fully expected a long process but my MEB has been moving very fast from what it seems.

Just got my notification for my AMRO today that’s it’s going to the board. I get with the doc to do the NARSUM this coming week. I am scared to death of the unknown. I have spondylothesis, pars defect in my L5, sciatica and er hip is shot. I got referred for those and anxiety and PTSD from another thing I have an LOD for.

As someone who also has pretty bad anxiety I can relate to how you may be feeling. Take a moment to breathe then once your collected take mental note of what you CAN and CANNOT control. Focus on the things you CAN control and let the things your CANNOT control work through it's process. Just know being MED boarded is not a bad thing!

I was scared to death of the unknown and not gonna lie still am, but more about making sure I have all the information I need for transition. It's a very long process, some longer than others. Make sure you go through your medical records and get everything documented. Read through reddit on the veteranbenefits page, alot of good info about the exams. I chose to get a spinal fusion to hopefully fix my sciatica because I was tired of not being able to stand longer than a minute without being in pain and walking like a zombie.

They wanted me to get injections in my SI joint and back. I couldn’t get it’s because I got diagnosed with POTS ‍ SO… I’m just over here suffering. I’m so grateful I found this page! I’m at DM, this isn’t my home state so I’m so scared at this moment! I keep praying it goes quick. My package is at AFPC as we speak.
