Documents to Substantiate Claims for C&P Exams

I just completed my C&P exams. Specifically for the general exam, I felt like the Dr. skipped around quite a bit. To the point where I now feel like I forgot to mention a few incidences that would help support my claims and/or explain my injuries to help “paint the picture.”
I filled out the medical evaluation form very thoroughly prior to the exam but they didn’t really refer to it throughout the exam. For the things I felt I left out, will the VA decision maker use my form to help paint the picture for my claims?
Should I submit a 4138 detailing the information I’d like in the report? And does it help to have my PCM write up his own document to substantiate my claims?

I suggest you wait until the exams show up on Tricare Online under documents. That way you can specifically disagree with each point that was not covered.

Ok, that’s what the plan was. Didn’t know if I needed to get out ahead of it or not. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to view the reports. Thanks!

Also, you may find that the C&P's are filled out correctly. Sometimes its hard to determine how the exam went and that is why its a good idea to wait to see the filled out DBQ's and if there is a problem you can address them via 4138 and upload via VA.GOV.
