Ebenefits update

As of today 5/09 I now have a historical claim with the update "Decision notification letter sent" and my two open claims changed to one with the title being Pending Decision Approval. From what I have read on here this means the VA is done with my package and it is going back to the PEB for them to do their ratings if I am not mistaken. Is this correct? Also any idea of when my package will be completely back based on this update? I appreciate the input.

It took my results a week to get back to me from this point. I would expect a week or two.

NDoyle, thanks for the feedback thats helpful I hope my is in the same time range as yours was. When did you have this happen was it recently?

I'm going on 22 days since historical! But yea from what I've read, once you have a historical claim the VA finished the proposed rating and sent it back to the PEB

Have you heard anything about your package from your PEBLO? Did s/he say about 30 days for you to hear something? I am at 12 days since my historical document hit on VA. I have noticed its about 30-40 days until we hear something. Its crazy to think all the board is doing is applying the VA percentage to our DOD condition. Maybe there is more to it.

The day I saw a historical claim I checked in with my PEBLO to touch base with him to verify the process was going as it should and he said it was Post QA and to expect something in about 3 weeks so it should be any day now man. But the norm that I've seen is anywhere from 2 weeks all the way up to 6 weeks so it's hard to say.

4 weeks today since mine was finished from the VA and still waiting to hear something back from the board.

All these post of ppl getting there stuff at least through the VA rating and here mine still sits with absolutely NO ANSWER!!!

at least you have an unfit memo I would take that at this point.

@mgav1 I received my ratings last week Friday 6 may. My IDES claim went to historical on the 29th of april.

@jp166901 do you an open claim in benefits that the claim is IDES? If so what is the date it opened?

I have an open claim that was submitted when I started my MEB. Not sure where it would say IDES, I see it says compensation under type. But this one was submitted 12 Jan 2016.

You should be able to click on it if it says compensation then it's not the open/Ides claim. It will say ides where it says compensation. If a second claim hadn't opened I would start asking questions.

Yea it just says compensation on it. I wonder why its like that.

Are you Army or do you think that matters?

Im AF but I don't think that should change anything. Possible that it could change your personnel HQ and how they handle it but other then that it should be about the same. MEB believe is a DOD process.

I believe its because your IPEB has not sent the results of unfit or fit to get the determination on ratings to the VA. I would ask your PEBLO if you were found fit or unfit. Then maybe then find out by calling Providence if they have received your paper work yet.

I received my unfit memo already, about a month ago I guess, so I know I am already found unfit and I have talked with the VA numerous times and the last thing they said was everything has been received and just waiting on the ratings.
