Eligibility Determination Claim and Main Claim Reset to Review of Evidence...

I am curius. I have seen a few other posts that have mentioned similar things I am about to mention but the responses really didn't stick in my noggin. On ebenefits my claim was in the 'Pending Decision Approval' stage. On Friday a new claimed opened up for 'Eligibility Determination'. I checked ebenefits again today and the 'Elgibility Determination' was closed Friday so was opened and closed on same day. It states Appeal is Possible - Decision Notification Sent. My main claim that is still open has reset to 'Review of Evidence' stage and has the update ' Status Has Changed - Evidence Requested is Past Due'.

Could anyone help explain what is going on or what could be going on. I plan on trying to call VA in the morning to see what is going on.

call the 800 # and see what's going on..if u call tonight call about 730 for a short wait time
 
I have been trying all day to get ahold of them. it keeps saying call another time. is that time EST or pacific? (Im at jblm, wa)
 
Eastern time..best times to call is exactly @ 8am or right before 8pm
 
okay ill give it a try. by any chance do you know why its updated like this?
 
Wish I did..your main claim could be that they made your proposed ratings but are waiting for you to actually become a vet to complete the claim but that's a wild guess
 
I had the VA call me back today. The lady said she cannot discuss the thing over the phone but i have been mailed info. it includes what im eligible for as far as from the VA, my proposed ratings and other small things. She said that I can appeal anything on there.... she made it sound like something bad so hopefully its not bad.
 
Ebenefits listed an eligibility determination claim for me. The date it opened was when they started actually rating my claim; the date it closed was the day after they sent the proposed ratings to the IPEB. My original claim (opened in July) is still showing "Review of Evidence." I got a copy of my VA proposed ratings from the DAV about two weeks before I got my IPEB results.
 
Okay that sounds about like the same situation I'm in. Did they mail anything directly to you?
 
Oh they said they were mailing me a envelope with proposed ratings in it unless she was mistaken
 
I have tried to call a few times with no luck. Hopefully it is my proposed ratings but that would kind of be pretty quick turn around for me as my stuff was only submitted to the PEB in mid-November.
 
I Don`t want to look to e-benefits, but today I need a Benefit Verification Letter (AB8). When I got the letter show me an Increase %. May be this help.

mine was opened in march and still says gathering evidence :/

I got my IPEB results on December 10th (memo dated December 5th)
