Hello All,

Here is my timeline for my MEB so far, it's not nearly as detailed as others, but it gets the gist of everything.
Nov 2015 - Notified of MEB - Being Referred for 5 conditions for Air Force portion, and 13 for "all others".
9 Dec - Audiology and Mental Health VA Appointments
4 Feb !!! - C&P Exam
Sometime late February, my package was sent to AFPC, but it was returned 2 weeks later due to not having adequate Mental Health Information (The VA Psychologist diagnosed me with a different disorder than what my local peeps told me, a new NARSUM had to be written to justify my PTSD diagnosis)
15 Mar - Met with Air Force Wounded Warrior Rep
15 Mar - completed Package sent back to AFPC
18 Mar - my duty section totally showed their true colors and let me down
22 Mar - Requested Waiver from AFPC to get surgery for Right Arm Carpal/radial/capital tunnel release
29 Mar - Today, still nothing showing up on Ebenefits :(

1 Apr - STATUS CHANGE - Ebenefits states "Preparation for Decision". Requested the VA make a decision ASAP. This means they will not wait 30 days for further documentation. Let's hope they are quick.[/QUOTE]

Have you heard anything in regards to having them make a decision faster, does that option actually do anything? I'm at the same stage

Gunner1210, I have no idea, but I figured it couldn't hurt. I've read of other people doing the same thing, but they typically don't comment on if it improved their timeline...since timelines are really varied and just serve as a way to make us crazy....

While I'm beyond this step, I am curious as to how you were able to ask for a 'faster' decision. Is this something you did through your PEBLO?

denmom117,
I doesn't have anything to do with the PEBLO, but all to do with eBenefits. When viewing the status of your claim, there is a button that you can 'select' that tells your case manager to NOT wait 30 days for extra justification or more paperwork to support your claim. You are ready for them to decide ASAP. While I'm not sure if this helps, and many other people who have selected this button aren't sure either, it makes me feel like I'm at least doing what I can.

Thanks for letting me know.

I received my VA rating last Monday (Apr 25). VA 80%, AF 20%. I'm in the process of contesting the AF rating since I have documentation for unfitting conditions, but no rating was given by USAF....

I was told that for those of us in the IDES process it is an arbitrary date. It has no value or accuracy.
I GOT GRRRREAT NEWS Monday!!! My rank determination came back from SECAF and I will be retired as a SSgt!!!!! I will get my orders and DOS within 7-10 days!! Words can not explain how excited I am. I have been going through this since last July.....found out in October I am prego with my 3rd and that my husband got picked up for pcsing to EGLIN this summer.....I was so worried about not being able to go.
