Need help filing for CRSC. I got out in 2013 for injuries incurred during my deployment. I have 3 tbis so doing things on a computer is tough. I can’t get adobe reader to work I have trouble remembering if I had done it already. Any help would be nice.

What branch of service are you in? Are you retired? If so, medical or with 20 years regular retirement?

@RetiredColonel-MikeT may be able to help you. He has a facebook page for CRSC and he is a CRSC ambassador. Also, some VSO's can help you do it too.

Medically retired at joining in 2009. Deployed to Afghanistan where I got 2 Purple Hearts and TBIs. I was permanently retired in 2014. All of my injuries are combat related. My VSOs have been mid to not helpful.

This is my 214 when I got out.
Okay. To confirm you were later changed over from TDRL to PDRL correct? Just want to make sure since some people lose their retirement if the military changes the % later on. Do you have Tricare for insurance? I assume you only receive a VA check correct?

Need to ask these questions to ensure I can help you.

You know. I never really checked. I do remember getting a letter stating I was out permanently…. Maybe. I do have tricare and I only collect my VA disability which is 90%

Okay, if you have Tricare then you are still retired. CRSC allows you to recoup money lost out due to VA offset. So being a SGT with only 4 years and 7 months means that if approved the amount won't be huge. However, I encourage you to apply if eligible because every little bit counts. So you are looking at getting around $250 a month. So you probably only need to get approved for 20% to max out CRSC compensation.

Could you send me your VA%'s and conditions? I will send you direct message to its private.
