Final Physical Required?

I am active duty navy. I was under the impression that we didn't need to get a final physical because our C&P exams counted for that requirement. Now I am told that in order to get orders, I must have that physical completed. Of course I had to do a bunch of appointments (dental, audio, PCM ect.) just to make the appointment for a final physical! I signed my findings on the 15th and my admin chief says there is nothing for me in message traffic. Could that be because I haven't had my final physical yet? I'm in a rush to get home because my housing and job are on a time table.

I am Air Force, but I will share my experience. When I was separating last year and had already done my QTC exams, and when came to the portion of my checklist that needed a check for a physical, I just got with the clinic staff that signed that portion and told them I did my QTC exam. After that they signed me off no problem.

I tried that, even provided copies of the exam results. No go. :(

Interesting. Sounds like they may just want to waste resources then.

I actually had to schedule a PHA (periodic health assessment) for command reasons even though I'm just waiting for my EAS to change since I signed my findings 3 weeks ago. I was told med board suffices for final physical but I'm Marine Corps. Oh well, I'm using this PHA to get other conditions on the books so I can bump up my VA rating once I'm out.

Lucky lol

My unit medical representative just signed it and put a note that my MEB counted as my final physical, so I ended up not having to do it. Whoever the liaison is between your naval unit and your PEBLO might be able to do something similar.
