Finally getting around to an Introduction

Hello!
I joined this site about 9 months ago and have been reading like crazy, but never got around to posting an introduction, so I guess now is as good a time as any. Please fovgive me in advance if I mess up any of the medical terms/military speak, I promise I am trying my best here.
I am an Army spouse, my husband is Active duty (16 years so far) and was injured in a helicopter crash in Iraq in 2007. His injuries from the crash were a T1 nondisplaced laminar fracture, herniated disks (C3-C4) and tramatic brain injury with postconcussive syndrome. He went from Iraq, to Germany, to Walter Reed, to BAMC and finally back to his duty station within two months and was told that nothing needed surgury, he just needed "about 6 months to heal". We were PCS'ed, he was given a non-flying/administrative job, and honestly, I think he was kinda forgotten. Now, almost 3 years later, things are starting to snowball it seems. He can't pass any of the neurological tests that they give him. He still has very painful back spasms, migraines, his short term memory is pretty much non-existant, he has speech/stuttering issues now, nightmares, and the Army has now added to the list of things offically wrong with him: Post-traumatic stress disorder, major depression, lumbar disc degeneration, cervical disc degeneration (C3-C4, C4-C5), and severe obstructive sleep apnea (for which he has a CPAP and is on oxygen for). He's on 9 different medications, which is a concern in and of itself. All he wants to do is get better and be able to fly again. There is no WTU at this post, so the past 6 months or so have been very confusing. He has a PCM in Aviation Medicine, the MEB doctor was seeing him at one point (not anymore), the Behavioral Medicine case manager, and a pyschologist and pyschiatrist from Behavioral Medicine. Behavioral Medicine wants to send him to a WTU (he was never in one), they sent him to the Tampa VA for a PolyTrauma assesment as a precursor to going to a WTU, which is where the question I have comes in (my reason for finally getting around to posting an introduction), so if I am doing this right, I will head over the WTU section and post my question about that there.
Thank you to anybody that's made it this far through my ramblings, just very confused and stressed, and not seeing any end in sight to any of this anytime soon.

Seneca,

Welcome, it is good to have you here! I am sorry to hear of your husband's injuries. Will take a look at your question about WTU. I hope all works out well in the end and thanks for being so supportive of your husband. I am sure it means a lot to him while he is going through this process.
