My husband had his formal board on the 2nd and even though the board said they were missing some of his medical records that did show he was better they still came to the same conclusion of 0% unfit for duty with a severance pay. Since he is legacy he already had his VA percentage done and back and they gave him a rating at first only gave him a rating of 10% and we appealled that and they came back with a 30% rating. So now we are sitting with a 30% rating from the VA for a few months now and he went from a 70% to a 0% from the army. He thought about appealling and having another formal board but his lawyer told him they most likely would come back with the same answer so he just signed his 199 and he is waiting for his new dd214 and his severance pay. The only favor they did for him is they did say all of his injuries were combat related. His lawyer said he should be good as far as the VA goes and all of that. He is just in a waiting period now to see if anyone will hire him since the army let him go for PTSD at a 0%. I am just hoping they do not make him wait to long for this paperwork because he feels so lost right now after the bull crap excuses they gave him for the ratings.
