I went through a lot of mental anguish in the military and have hopes my PTSD will calm down after I leave.

The med board process was extremely stressful for me.

I enrolled in college starting only a few weeks after I leave the military.

My academic advisor suggested I take a trip somewhere.

After all, I'll be spending the next 4 years studying for lots of tests.

Should I go somewhere?

I want to go to Europe but it's about a $2,000 trip.

I'm currently broke but will be getting $3500 in VA disability every month starting over the summer...

Should I just put it on a credit card and pay it back when my VA disability kicks in?

Do I need a breath of fresh air? Or is that financially irresponsible?

(I figure I can pay myself back once I get my disability).

For those of you who got med boarded, did you take a trip somewhere to clear your mind?

You deserve it!

I “took a trip” when the Army PCS’ed my wife to Fort Drum against EFMP rules! Best-worst two years of my life. Guaranteed me PDRL.

Go on your trip, you never know when you will be able to take another one! The point of life is to enjoy it, start doing it now with your trip!

You can compromise Europe for a resort closer. Keep your finances from being fried, yet still have a great time.
