Anyone know how long on average to expect next? My PEBLO is super helpful but we all know they can only give basic timeframe answers. My VA packet was supposed to take 6-8 weeks to come back and they came back in 2 weeks. I was told about 6 weeks for the PEB. Accurate? Trying to get a rough time as to when I need to start applying for jobs and applying to Apartments/houses for rent. Thank you!

Your PEB decisión could take less than a week or it could take 3 weeks , after that you still have to wait for the va for ratings, then those ratings released to Peblo then you have to concur or appeal. It could be a long time but You can start applying for jobs now, if you get a job, get a job offer and use that to expedite your case . Getting a home will not expedite your case

Sounds good! Thank you! I already have a job offer pending and a school acceptance letter if those will help out at all. I will definitely get in touch with my PEBLO about that.

There used to be a system we could check. But it was inaccurate so it’s no longer a thing. However I would suggest to bug your peblo at least every Friday or Monday , or both .
My peblo didn’t notify me when the PEB made their decision. I just happen to call asking for something else and that’s when she told me ,from then on I’ve been calling calling every Friday for updates

Update:

24 March 2022: Paperwork for Expedite Memo submitted. PEBLO said she would forward it to her supervisor to get sent to the board. Hoping this speeds things up a little bit.

Guessing my memo was pushed up and accepted since I never heard anything from my PEBLO? Hoping so anyway. Anyone know how fast on average the process is sped up by the memo?

Asked my PEBLO for updates two fridays in a row now and still no answer sad sad days

I was just think on something you can do to pass your time … maybe try cif early turn in?
Yeah for sure! I finished my memo and I have almost everything together to turn in. Just gotta get the memo signed. I submitted an expedite memo to my PEBLO and now my command is saying just wait to turn it in on time but they are all going on leave so I’m going to have the Rear D OIC do it

4 Apr 2022: PEBLO notified me they are waiting on my VA ratings to be complete

Anyone know the average timeframe for the preparation for decision phase with the VA? Feel like mine had been there forever.

Feels like mine is taking an eternity compared to everyone who posts their timelines. My timeline is similar to yours except my NARSUM was signed in February and VA has completed and sent my proposed rating to the PEB as of March 05. I've been bothering my PEBLO about every Friday since and calling every number the VA has to offer to see if I can take a peek at what percentages I'll be working with. VA won't give me answers (probably because they're not allowed to if my ratings were sent to the PEB). My PEBLO never has an update but it's not her fault, this is just the part of the process that tests your patience. Last I was told was that it's at "distributions" which I assume is the QA part of the PEB process before they deliver my ratings, but I'm not sure.

This process is more stressful than it should be, especially when I see people on this forum who started their process after me and get their 199 signed before I do. I'm chill about it now. My advice to you is don't sweat the stuff you have no control over. You hit the part of the process that just needs to run its course. Best way to be proactive is clean some TA-50, develop your resume and finish off TAP if you haven't already. If you keep comparing your progress compared to everyone else you'll find yourself stressing out even more. The case timelines on this forum has been extremely helpful to give me a ballpark idea of time frames and answers a lot of questions that I haven't even thought of yet. But every case moves at its own pace. Hope your case goes through faster than mine has.

For reference my timeline has been as follows

MEB initial counseling: November 23, 2021
VA Claims submitted: December 03, 2021
QTC Appointment: January 24, 2022
NARSUM: February 11, 2022
VA Rating sent to PEB: March 05, 2022

I am now one month into waiting for anything on Va.gov or ebenefits to change. No update from my PEBLO other than waiting on the VA and everything is just stuck. This process is draining lol.
