So the VA sends their rating back to the PEB and the board takes the VA rating and makes their DOD rating. The ratings you get from that are all "proposed" ratings. However, these are pretty much guaranteed to be your ratings unless you elect a formal PEB because you disagree with the rating decision. There are a number of unforseen things that can pop up, so the VA won't fully commit by saying FINAL ratings until you are fully separated. Cool cool thanks for the information. I’m in this limbo where I’m waiting for the unfit and then sign off the 199. But looking at your time like I can grasp when I might be getting those notifications. Is there any reason why your terminal date starts at the end of this month? Was the separation date that far ahead? How much terminal days plus tdy did you get?

During that exam if they deem that I have not improved or worsened, then I will be possibly put on the PDRL, permanent disability retirement list. Did you have any BEhavior health mental part of your diagnosis? I hear that’s why a lot of folks get on tdrl even if they have 100 VA

Since I'm getting medically retired I have to route my packet and get my orders which they anticipate will take a week. Then I'll have 10 days to clear. You have 90 days from the day you get your separation date so you can take leave sooner if you have enough days plus ptdy. I have 121 days of leave due to the covid leave extension but obviously can only use 60 days max for terminal leave. So I'm selling 66 days back. I'm not taking ptdy or anything. I'm also in the middle of a Skillbridge internship so I just pushed my leave date to the end of the month to give myself time and make it an even 60 days of leave to my separation

Yea I got 50% for PTSD and you're right. Mental health conditions are almost always TDRL since they can better or worsen. That's why it's best to immediately seek a mental health clinic nearby and continue therapy and medication after you get out. Also keep your prescriptions filled. Cuz if they get a whiff that you may be improving they will lower your rating quick. Until you are in the PDRL you are not safe at all. I'm actually highly dependent on my medication and therapy so it is what it is
