Fort Eustis Timeline

Either or. You can take all 90 days to outprocess and transition if you want to, or you can go and just simply get out once you have finished outprocessing. Its all up to you.

And I just looked at VA.gov and found out that one of my cases closed this afternoon which means that I hopefully get my ratings back within the next two weeks or so!

What’s your status now? I just found out my C&P exam came back January 28th but the VA still has it because I haven’t got my hearing exam which is part of the exam which my MSC said wouldn’t be an issue smh! I lost a month or more

So I’m waiting on my 199 which should I should be getting this afternoon. The C&P exam is a bit of an annoyance. It took me a while to get mine back too, but not that long. That is odd that it took so long, but I have heard of people sitting and waiting because they didn’t have an exam that never got scheduled. Hopefully it goes a little faster for you after this slow up, but I will say waiting on the VA for ratings can take forever.

The 199 is the document that has the breakdown of your percentages on it/letting you know what your final is (this is the deciding factor of whether you appeal or not). After that I've seen people get orders as soon as a week, to two weeks. It all depends on transitions, but it is usually fairly quickly from everything that I have seen from two of my soldiers that went through the process and then others on this site as well.

Ok well that’s encouraging. I hope they return my c&p exam soon after I’m done with the hearing test

If that’s all they are waiting on it shouldn’t be that long at all, especially since hearing tests are pretty cut and dry and not much to be interpreted with.

For anyone still following this thread: I finally got my ratings back!
I got 30% DOD and 70% VA, but I do plan to continue to get my VA up more because of having sleep apnea and fibromyalgia. So we shall see what the end result is, but I just know that I am finally done with this process!

Definitely with a CPAP that’s automatically 50% and Fibro can be 40% how long still you are out now?

Im now waiting on getting on the transpose list. I got my percentages last thursday so hopefully sometime soon I get some information. And yeah the sleep apnea bumps me up to 80% from the VA and then the fibromyalgia should get me up higher because of the various joints that it effects even though there is not an actual condition wrong with it so that should get me close to 100 if not 100%.

What’s the tranpose list? Do you have to do an appeal to get the conditions added or after you are out?

So I meant Transproc List, but basically that’s the list you get on to begin the transition out process. That’s where I’ll get my NLT date. As for the additional conditions I’m just adding them on. No need to appeal since there isn’t already a condition. You do an exit interview with the MSC who can help you set everything up with putting in a new claim, or appealing other ones.

Yeah I’m hoping to hear something from transitions soon and that I’m on leave starting in April sometime. It’s a long ass process but once it starts moving it goes pretty quick.

To anyone who is still following this, or waiting to hear an update from me: I got put on TRANSPOC last Friday (finally) after some issues that were going on with my paperwork (mainly the CDRs Statement) so once that got resolved everything worked out just fine. I picked up my orders yesterday and start out processing on Monday! Finally at the end of it all and it feels so great!

How long did it take for you to get your orders from when you signed your 199?

So my case was a little bit different unfortunately. It took me a month and a half to get orders from the time when I signed my 199, but that was because it took them forever to go through my paperwork. I ended up having to send them an updated copy of my CDRs statement just so they could process it properly. It usually takes around 2 weeks though, even with all that is going on with the Corona virus, and of course depending on what post you are on too can have some affect to the whole process.

What issue did they have with your cdr statement?
