Fort Gordon IDES Timeline So Far

Been lurking around here for a month here's my timline:

Deployed 3 times; 1990-1991 (Desert Storm), 2001-2002 (Kuwait), 2003-2005 (Afghanistan)
Diagnosed PTSD by the VA in 2008 but never claimed or admitted it to Army or VA
March 2011..Army docs discovered the meds plus a involuntary trip to the VA padded room (accompanied by BN CMDR & CSM).. recommended for MEB (PTSD ONLY)
April 2011..Applied for VA C&P
May 2011..given Perm. profile at state level for anxiety, depression meds, no weapons...
June 2011..Received retro-active LOD determination for PTSD from guard bureau
January 2012..packet sent from Utah to Pineallas Park, FL.
January 2012..VA C&P exam was completed
February 2012..MEB packet is recieved by Pinellas Park, FL.
March 2012..MEB packet is sent to Fort Gordon, GA
April 2012..Original VA claim is nullified by the IDES system and replaced with new VA claim#
May 2012..PEBLO is assigned and scheduled Army C&P exam at Ft. Gordon
June 2012..Complete Army C&P Exam for PTSD
August 2012..Army Primary Care Physician calls ask same questions from June C&P Exam..writes a New Permenant Profile
October 2012..Sign my NARSUM on 2 Oct..fax back to Ft. Gordon immediatly!!!
October 2012..Packet sent to Ft. Sam Houston on 4 October
October 2012..Called PEB directly on 30 October..told by people there that ...it has been "adjucated" call back end of week.

UPDATE:
October 2012...recieved my 'Unfit' memo on Friday (2 Nov 2012). It was dated 24 October.
Novemeber 2012...Ebenefits changed from 'review of Evidence' to 'Preperation for Decision' on 2 Nov 2012
Novemebr 2012...Got email about conference call with the legal people at Ft. Gordon
 
That is so awesome Rodney, I hope that means mine now moved a little closer now that yours is no longer in the line??? Still hearing nothing but crickets here in Virginia.
 
Update: Received orders on 21 Oct 2012. Clearing starts 3 Dec with PTDY and Terminal leave starting on 15 Dec. ETS is 19 Jan 2013.

I would be lost without this sight. This site gives me a reminder of why I love the Army; We all go through the "suck" together, even though some have shorter times than others. Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to serve along side of you even if we have never met. You are all heroes in my eyes, and I couldn't ask for more when it comes to Brothers and Sisters in Arms.

We hear it all the time if we are out in uniform, or if someone notices the way we walk or talk. I'm talking about the words "Thank you". I'd like to say thank you for your service. Thank you for the sacrifices you all make every day. A thousand times again...Thank you!
 
Was told I would probably not make my ETS because of the Holidays, so it was suggested that I extend for another year.Which I just did. Still nothing but crickets in Virginia.......That sucked :(
 
OMG VA did a call back this morning, almost feel off the couch! I've been trying to reach them for over a month. They told me my phase...preperation for decision, is currently taking 11 months!!! My wife will probably shoot me for the insurance before she lets that happen!! :( Sure hope to hear something from my PEBLO soon, she called me the week before Thanksgiving, was taking a weeks vacation and didn't know anything again.

I would not put any faith in that 11 Months they told you. That is the average time for a claim, Start to finish according to them. The people that have called me back from the VA could see no further than what I could see on ebenefits. I gave up on calling them... in fact the whole 1-800 number program is just another source of frustration to infuriate a person. Your estimated claim phase completion date on ebenfits is probably a little closer to being accurate. It was for me anyway. My claim was complete on 6 Nov 2012. The PEB is still waiting for the VA to send them the ratings. Just hang in there brother, it will get there eventually.
 
This is a great day! I got my DA 199 (PDRL) Checked the I concur box Signed it and Sent it back. Light at the end of this tunnel is getting very bright now.. May have to put on the Sun Glasses.

Hopefully mine won't be much longer, mine went to Sam Houston about 2 weeks before yours. Were you Active Duty or Reserve/Guard?

Sounds like I joined not long after you...Us Army Oct 24 1979-1982, Army Reserve Nov 1 1982-1985 civilian 22yrs 85-07, VA National Guard 2007-to date. 33 years, 1month,5 days and counting... wonder where I'd be if I stayed in from 85-07? lol. I loved that you recieved your DA 199 and SIGNED AND RETURNED IN 30 MINUTES......hope you get your orders soon!!!

The PEBLO said that the 199 goes to the elction board now and they will send me a letter with some other DFAS documents. He said that is taking between 2-4 weeks. I guess the letter is where they officially inform you that your orders are coming. Like everything else with this process, I do not have a firm understanding of whats going on currently until after it happens. Then bingo I'm an expert for something I will never use again. So I am back to waiting for a Letter now and then it will be Orders next. Then it will be waiting for $ to hit the bank and then getting CRSC approved after that. The waiting seems as if there will never be an end. But one step at a time. I hope your 199 comes soon. PM me and I will give you a number you can all that may help.
 
Hi, I check E- benefit and they wrote estimated time is 7 jan-13 feb 2013, This mean they gonna finish my case on those days

If you haven't received your 199, those dates are guest-a-mates, and they are already wrong. The VA has nothing to do with when you will get your 199, and you WILL NOT get final VA rating until you are off active duty (out of IDES process, off terminal leave...).

Not fully understanding where you are in the process, I am guessing that the PEB is waiting for the VA to produce and return your IDES file back to the PEB. Those dates may be an estimate of when the VA will produce your proposed ratings, and the individual who filled in the e-benifits info put in the "standard VA timeline" and has no clue about the IDES process.

E-Benifits is less than worthless to those SMs that are in the IDES system. It is confusing, and the individuals that input the info into the system have no clue and are not trained.

Hi, today I look at E-benefit, well they change again the estimate date. Now the dates are from 1/12/13 to 03/17/13. This is ridiculous.

Quit looking at e-benifits. It will drive you nuts! There is the truth, and then there is the info on e-benifits. Take a look at the info, maybe once a month. Anymore then that is just making you feel good.

Unless you are expidited, you are probably looking around 2-3 months from the time the VA publishes its proposed-ratings and when you will probably get your 199. Go to school, get a trade, and keep busy. They were the only way I didn't drive everyone around me crazy.

your dates on E benefits can change several times, mine has changed 4 times now, keeps going farther and farther back.
