March 1, 2012 NARSUM results signed and packet forwarded to PEB (Ft Sam Houston)
March 12, 2012 Packet recieved by PEB
August 13,2012 14 months and still nothing from the PEB.

Conditions unfitting are Cervical Spondylosis with radiculopathy (fused from C3-C7)
Left upper and lower extremity hemiparesis
Lumbar spondylosis L3-S1 with lower extremity hemiparesis
PTSD

Not complaining at least I still have a paycheck coming in, but its a long process for sure. This is under IDES

My PEBLO has no only said he hasn't received anything from the PEB and I actually just got extended a year because they don't think my PEB will be done before my ETS date. (extension number 3 by the way) I didn't even know about Ebenefits until I found this forum so as soon as I show a status I'll post that as well. Insane isn't the word. I'm pretty positive I'll be found unfit with the hemiparesis alone. So its insanity at its best.

August 31,2012 Finally received ratings from the PEB/VA 80%Army, 90%VA (however we are appealing due to my Hemiplegia only being rated at 30% and I'm unable to use my left side.)

Congrats on getting the findings.

Just some thoughts, you may want to request a one-time reconcideration from the VA, instead of appealling to a FPEB, or ask for unemployablity. This is what I'm thinking:
- 75% is the max disablity retirement from the services. The FPEB can't give you anything more, and there may (not much) be a risk to your 75%.
- The disagreement is with the VA and a reconcideration may take around a month, and you will be done.
- If the additional disability (30%?) moves your combined VA disability from 90% to 100%, in my view this is the way to go.
- If it moves the combined percentage from 85% to 94% it will not affect the outcome, the disability could cause you not to work. That is where the unemployability option could be more successful.

Just my thoughts. Wish you the best.

October 12 2012, Recieved my VA reconsideration and I got 90% DOD, 100% VA. So now we are just waiting on orders. Thank you EagleOne for your advice to simply have them reconsider.

Oct 22, 2012... picked my final out day. I'll be medically retired on 12/28. I pick up my clearing papers Monday 10/29. Start PTDY 11/10.

I hope everyone that is waiting on TRANSPROC comes down on the list soon.
