Where are you Zeus?Any idea how long it takes to. Get orders after signing my 199? I have been told it could be a month! How does it take so long, they are writing anything individually about me.
Sounds like you're about therePEBLO said my 199 is now in the pile to be typed. From prior discussions, it looks like 2-3 weeks to sign?
I'd say 1-2 weeks, unless there is a huge backlog...Sounds like you're about thereI'd say 1-2 weeks, unless there is a huge backlog...
My 199 was being typed on 10 Aug, so hopefully I will have it by the end of this week. HOPEFULLY!!!
Wishing Well, Thanks. Let us know when you sign. Looks like I am a week behind you.
First off finding this site was a life saver and being able to track everyones progress has helped me so much. With all your timelines and information I knew when to be patient and when to start asking questions. Since this has helped me I would like to continue the trend of posting my timeline so that those behind us can continue to have some idea of how things are progressing at the Fort Lewis PEB since once it leaves our PEBLO's it goes into a black hole with no information forthcoming. Thanks again to those who post on here and give out the much needed advice.
April - MEB initiated
June - VA C&P
July 11th - Notified that MEB found that I did not meet retention standards
July 18th - Signed NARSUM
July 19th - Packet forwarded to PEB
August 18th - PEB found unfit
August 23rd - eBenefits status changed to "Preparation for Decision".

Wow, now I am really depressed. Here is my timeline:
May 15, 2011 MEB initiated
August 2011 C&P
October 2011 Met with PA for my NARSUM
January 2012 Informed the PA who did my NARSUM was a temp and now cannot be located for a signature. Another doc wrote up my NARSUM without ever talking to me. Appealed for an IPR.
May 2012 IPR. When submitted to COL (I think that was his rank) for approval, the COL changed some of the conditions to a light unfavorable to me. Appealed his findings.
July 2012 Signed NARSUM
August 2012 Packet forwarded to PEB
When I called my PEBLO today, he informed me Ft. Lewis is back logged 785 packets right now. He said I should plan on not getting my IPEB until December. We will likely have to appeal the findings due to the goat rope I experienced with the NARSUM. I was hoping to be out of the Army by the end of 2012, but it does not look like that will be the case.
And what makes me even more angry is, when I started this process 16 months ago in May 2011, the BN Surgeon acknowledged that I need one more knee surgery, but she would not authorize it, because it would delay my MEB. She said she would have my case expedited. I guess "expedited" means drug out until all hope is lost. I did get a sliver of hope today from my PEBLO who informed me that now that I am done with the MEB and into the PEB, the CBWTU can authorize the surgery if they choose. (I was found unfit on that knee and that it was permanently aggravated by service). I just sent a letter to my NCM and actually am holding my breath this time, yet prepared to be crushed yet once again.
Your timeline is absolutely ridiculous. I am SO sorry yours is taking so long. My packet is also at Ft. Lewis. It took me about 7 weeks to get my unfit for duty memo. My packet has been at the Seattle VA Regional Office since 03 AUG. I have been told that it takes 120 days for a packet to make it's rounds at the VA & PEB & come back to the PEBLOs... But who knows how true that is. I hope your process picks up some speed!
It took me about 14 days to hit the transpoc list (including weekend days), it's normal for 14-30ish days because HQPDA needs to review the packet and ratings to ensure they did it correctly before they throw you on the list.I have been going through this MEB crap for over a year and a half now and I finally signed my 199 on 8.28.2012, so yesterday (Monday.) I didn't get the percentage I wanted from the army, but whatever, by now all I want is to get out. I'm so done it's not even funny. I was told that I'd have to wait 2 weeks to 45 days to be put on the TRANSPROC list before knowing when I'm going to get out? Apparently that's the norm for whatever silly reason. So, I was wondering if that tends to be the case, or if it happens sooner or what have you. What have been your experiences? Also, is there anything I can do to speed the process along or anyone I can talk to directly to get things moving faster? I have all this stuff I need to do before I get out, and my unit all the sudden (out of nowhere) seems interested in bugging me and treating me like I'm some degenerate, when in reality I'm just doing what I can to get out of here as fast as possible with the least possible damage.
Any day you will get a call!Congrats and I am sorry about the ratings. Talk to an attorney before signing (if you haven't already).
If you are at JBLM, when did your 199 start to be prepared? Mine was "being prepared" around the 15th. Just would like to know when to expect mine.
