Fort Lewis PEB

JBLM updates,,, I contacted VA the other day and they said my second signature was done but went back to the rater for some verification on the wording. I check ebenefits daily and still see its in the pending decision phase. For those of you at JBLM, have you seen it slow down on the 199 or has the 4-6 week getting longer after it comes back from VA.

It took around 2 1/2 months after the VA had written the "proposed ratings" for me to get my 199. It is probably taking longer, but it can depend on number of claims and some luck of the draw.

Smacinnes,
it took me 1 month to get my 199 back, but i only had a couple conditions. For me this was the fastest part. I now am awaiting orders and that is been about a week and a half now.

Being they sent it back to the rater, that is going to add some more time, so at a minimum another 6-8 weeks till you get to see the 199.:(

Mine took about 3 months from the "proposed ratings" were produced, and about 5 weeks from the time that the 199 entered "typing phase."

I signed my 199 on the 11th of Sept. as well.... any word on how much longer for ya'll out of JBLM?

I am here at Fort Bliss, TX and my PEBLO said about a month before i will show up on transproc.

Stalker it depends on who you talk to. What's funny is I was told 2 days to 3 weeks at first. Now that I'm coming up on 3 weeks the same person is saying 30 days. I call everyday and have someone checking a few times a day for me. We are pretty much on the same schedule as Wishing Well. Hopefully Monday. Try to keep yourself productive while you wait. I have found myself in rut and frustrated waiting.

Pretty much the same garbage I hear. Ive talked to some people about how inconveniencing the last leg of this process is to the Soldier. Hopefully soon, most of us have things we are trying to accomplish OUTSIDE the military in a timely manner. They don't seem to care about that. But that is the Army way!! #Expendable

The process is pretty bumpy, but there are a few people who care and want to help. My Peblo was good and there is one on here that is pending over backwards to keep me informed.

As a suggestion guys, if you have the time available to you if I were you reattend the DTAP class, there were some changes that happened in August and haven't been well advertised!

Thanks for the suggestion grizz....Is the DTAP still a requirement before the packet is sent up to PEB and is that the only class I should expect to need to have done ASAP? I already have my other acap appointments set up and plan to have them done well before my narsum is done, but I want to make sure all my ducks are in a row.

TAP and DTAP is the are required ones, but the more classes you take the more info you have. I'm thinking about going to the business one shortly.

I am at JBLM also. I am on the AF side though. AF uses the AF Form 1180 instead of the DA Form 199. I was told by my PEBLO that it would take 1 month at least after receiving my ratings to get my 1180. So I thought it would be another drawn out process. However, I received my 1180 a week later. I didn't prepare and now I am running around trying to get all this outprocessing done before my retirement date of 16 Oct. My advice, start getting all your ducks in a row. They don't give you much time to outprocess, especially if you have a lot of leave stored up plus permissive TDY. I basically have 3 weeks to outprocess. Now that you have your ratings, things can very fast.

I hope things start to move very fast once I get put on TRANSPROC.

As long as you already cleared CIF and you dont have any hangups with your HHG then you should be able to clear post in just a few days. I plan on being OUT of here in ten days once I get my clearing papers.

Well all you get is 10 days to clear anyways!:p You can clear in 2 days easy, basically you get all of these days to fart around all you want!

I'm aware of that, but "clearing" in ten days and getting home in ten days are two different things. Especially since Im at Schofield in HI.
