Fort Liberty Timeline

Yup, you guys were right. Called the peblo yesterday, and spoke with a supervisor. My 199 was just sitting in someone's inbox, waiting for a signature. Should have it in hand by Tuesday next week.

Us marines have to 8 weeks for findings to come back lol. Could be much worse hope you get yours soon.

When did you sign your narsum?

I'm also at Liberty and very close to you in timeline (VA Case Closed 19 Sept). Before this date, I always had a "no claims filed" status. It went from nothing to closed. I have not received my 199 yet, but my PEBLO said she expected something early this month. I'm hoping to hear something within the next few weeks. Overall I have a great experience with my PEBLO here.

Am I reading this right that the Fort Liberty IDES process is taking around 5 months? Trying to make sure I hit 20 years next July and don't want it initiated to early.

My P3 was submitted in Feb, and my first appointment with my PEBLO was in Mar. I received my 199 last week. I haven’t signed it and have been told that Formal Boards are approximately 90 days out.

I am in the same boat as you at Bragg. You should be more than fine if you start now and have terminal leaved stashed. Bragg has been taking about 5-6 months on average to process with no rebuttals from the service member. With rebuttals, you can add around a month or 2. Then, if you need more time, you can request a FPEB, which seem to be getting scheduled about 3 to 4 months out from request date. Add terminal leave and TDY into that and you're Gucci for 20. I have my MRDP appointment scheduled for the beginning of November. Good luck.

Question. When you finished sfl tap did you get clearing papers or did you have to wait until 199 was signed?

I just started the DES process in August 2024. Attached are the current slides the PEBLO/OSC office provides.

6/24 - Referred to DES/MEB
8/1 - Accepted to DES/MEB
8/15 - Brief/PEBLO initial meeting
8/16 - OSC Legal Counseling
8/19 - Decision Point #1 Election (IDES).

I'm emailing weekly and keep getting told it will be this week. I am at day 55 since my case has been accepted by the PEB and day 20 since the VA closed my case.

I am not a patient person by nature. Nothing beneficial to add, just venting/commiserating.

I feel ya. My VA portion closed on 27JUL and I’m just waiting for my 199. My battle got her 199 last week and her cases closed exactly a week before mine, so I am anticipating any time but who knows. My PEBLO has been less than helpful. I just want some more transparency and accountability. No one cares more than us about our packet.

No. I am at Dix. JBMDL

No not yet I’m hoping sometime next week my Va claim was closed on August 12. So hopefully soon.
