FT Bragg Timeline

Sometimes I wonder if anyones reading.. lol

Second claim opened today, dated 7/26. Pretty stoked for sure. So hopefully the VA goes as quick as my PEBLO claims.

awesome! I hope for the best for you as well!

Thanks for posting your progression. I am not sure what I should do in my situation. I am scheduled to start terminal leave in November for an ETS, but I think I could qualify for a medical retirement with ten years in. I really hate to loose my health benefits. The other side of the situation is that I have already accepted a civilian position as soon as I start terminal. I have been watching your progression to see what the time is from start to finish. I am in the National Capital Region so it might be a little faster from what I have heard. Please keep the updates coming and I hope it all works out for you!

Thanks man! I don't believe there is a way to get tricare if you file a claim after active duty. I vaguely remember someone saying that within a year from ETS, you can still get benefits but don't hold me to it.

I hope it works out for you as well. I'm not sure where the rating facility is for Army, East coast...

Checked eBennies this morning.. nothing..
Checked eBennies at lunch and CASE CLOSED! BADA BING; BADA BOOM!

Sweet, Congrats man. I'm processing through Ft. Bragg as well. Hopefully my case starts moving along....

When are you able to start your ETS leave?

I have no idea yet. I'm going to call tomorrow and try to get proposed ratings via phone or chat then blow up my PEBLO's phone to hopefully get 199 this week. Once I get that signed and over to transitions, I'll have a date

Please keep me posted if you are able to start your ETS leave once you sign your 199. Thanks.

Happy for you, but jealous as hell at the same time. I'm waiting for my ratings/199 too. :(

Chat turned up no results. Going to call my MSC later today, and see if he can tell me what I've got. I need 199 to happen soon lol

Well, Talked with my PEBLO's supervisor after no avail on catching my PEBLO.. She's out until "later this week" due to her dad being hospitalized. Sucks, but he said I should have my 199 next week... Fingers Crossed..

I'm about three weeks in to a Med Board at Bragg too. Scrolled through your thread. But hard to keep up with dates. How long did it take from your Med Board doc appt to when it went to PEB?

Called MSC Today, and found out 40-50% Army, 80 VA!

Med board doc appt? You have plenty of those.

Met your Narsum Provider? I met mine 4/11 and went to PEB 6/28 when I signed narsum.

Yes, NARSUM Provider.

Things started out really well for me. Did FFD physical first, then had PCM do P3 and MED Board referral (8/1). Within a week, I completed my intake, MEB / Legal brief, and PEBLO meeting. Met with MSC on 8/11. No calls for appointments yet. Called last week and MSC said there was a "glitch" and there is a huge backlog. I'm just hoping I can get the C&Ps done ASAP to keep the ball rolling. NARSUM Provider appointment was on 8/16 and it seemed to go well. Now I feel like things got stuck. The only thing I have scheduled from my claim appointment so far is the sleep study. I still need Gen Med, Audio, Vision, BH, and Dental.

My commander never got the Commander's Statement from PEBLO. They sent it to the wrong person apparently. This "glitch" is preventing my C&Ps from getting scheduled. I also work at WAMC and there is certainly no decrease in workload during this process. Combine that with the fact that I know absolutely NOTHING about this process, I'd say I'm a little stressed.

I'm just ready to get this over with and move on to the next chapter in my life...

When did you start SFL-TAP? When were you able to log in to eBennies and how?

Sorry to hear of your difficulties. Just know that they've improved the process at Bragg 10x since when I started. The fact that you have gotten all of that done in a few weeks is quite good actually. It took about 2 months for me to go from referral to MEB to even having my first intake, followed by another month before my first meeting with my NARSUM doc.

Good luck through the process. This website is a lifesaver, just keep track of where you should be and know that there's not much you can do to get ahead of the process. Just do what needs to be done and prepare for the next step as well as you can.

Thank you for the words of encouragement! I'm trying to stay positive and let the system work. I am pleased at how fast things started, but then when they stopped I didn't know what to do. I'm trying to browse some other stuff in the forum to see what else I can learn.

I'm processing through Bragg as well. Although I'm in Europe we do C&P there and my actual PEBLO is there as well. I'm pleased with the process so far and its moving fairly quick. I'm hoping to get a fit/unfit (more likely unfit) notification anyday now. Good Luck with your process
