I agree, working at WAMC and going through the board makes it even worse. I get worked extra lol

Things started out really well for me. Did FFD physical first, then had PCM do P3 and MED Board referral (8/1). Within a week, I completed my intake, MEB / Legal brief, and PEBLO meeting. My commander never got the Commander's Statement from PEBLO. They sent it to the wrong person apparently. This "glitch" is preventing my C&Ps from getting scheduled. I also work at WAMC and there is certainly no decrease in workload during this process. Combine that with the fact that I know absolutely NOTHING about this process, I'd say I'm a little stressed.

I'm just ready to get this over with and move on to the next chapter in my life...

When did you start SFL-TAP? When were you able to log in to eBennies and how?

READ this board. take a deep breath. The PEBLO Brief had a good bit of info, but you have to seek the answers for yourself. Google, read the board. Its easy to get over anxious while doing so, but just realize its not getting any better any faster. What company are you in? My commander got the statement the same day, but I had to schedule an interview with her. SFL-TAP I did in July. I was able to log into e-benefits from the day I setup an account. its easy to do.

Can I say one of my major claims is ANXIETY! Haha! Patience is not one of my strengths.

I am in C Co. The commander's statement was sent to A Co. I have spoken in depth with my commander, so I don't think she will need an interview. What company are you in? And clearly your NCOs are taking care of you if you are having to work a full schedule in addition to your Med Board stuff. I'll take a guess and say you work in the ER because I know all the other inpatient areas. haha

I did make progress today because I was finally able to get someone on the phone at QTC. She said my case had been "expedited" (they probably tell everyone that) and immediately sent me the email with the registration link. I registered for their website and they want to book my appointments on Monday and Tuesday.

So hopefully by today I'll have at least part of my C&Ps scheduled. :)
 
I'm in A. Co. My NCO's are garbage. I get nothing done. I have to do everything myself. I've been trying to get my CIF Clearing memo for over 30 days now. I finally went over to the company by myself and nobody knew a word. I have talked to my NCO's 2-3 times a week about it.. and nothing. Working 40-70h a week here on top of MEB is killing me. I ate 11 days of leave because I couldnt take this place anymore. Working swings here blows.

Sorry about your luck, right when I got my UNFIT I got my CIF memo signed and turned in all my gear, huge weight off of your shoulders.

Did you need the unfit memo to clear CIF?

Where did you get your Unfit memo? Are you talking about the DA-199?

Yes, I needed that and a I needed a memo from the CO authorizing an early turn in.

My PEBLO printed it out (she may have did so and "broke the rules.) and handed it to me when she found out. I'm not talking about the DA-199, I haven't received that yet. Once you get your letter of unfit, you can take that to CIF ALONG WITH a memo signed by the commander to authorize an early turn in. That's what I did.
 
You also need the commanders Assumption of Command letter to pair with the commander's memo.
 
Highly upset at this point..

Talked to PEBLO who told me the PEB hasn't even received the ratings yet. VA completed claim on 8/13........
 
Now I feel bad for you, I received and signed my 199, waiting on HRC to generate clearing orders. :c
 
Feeling very annoyed. PEBLO seems to not give a shit, and is like... "Yep, PEB isnt done yet, so wait. kthanksbye"


Very disgusted at this last section, and nobody seems to care. I contacted the ombudsman to see what the deal is, if I already received my paper copy of ratings, how tf did the PEB not?
 
Got an email today from PEBLO informing me that everyone was trying to pull ratings.

I contacted Ombudsman yesterday morning, he sent email to my Peblo's Lead and the PEBLO Supervisor.
PEBLO Lead then sent email to NCR PEB and HRC both listed as Pentagon locations in Outlook..... Could get answers!

PEBLO sent me 199, 5892 and ratings today via email. I will do legal appt 0930 Tuesday, sign 199 at 1400, RET services 0900 Wednesday. She told me to expect 60 days from tuesday to me my retire date. Hopefully thats the case! 20 days leave, 20 days PTDY puts me pretty soon!

Nope. Since they fall under MEDCOM they only get 4 days when I do... Christmas and Thanksgiving....
And federal holidays. lol

That's great! I have a quick question...I saw in your timeline that you had a second claim. Do you feel like this slowed your process down at all?

My command keeps asking for a timeline so they can get me a replacement so I can get out of here. All of my C&Ps will be complete on Tuesday. I have Gen Med tomorrow, then Vision and Dental Mon and Tue.

Of course, I'm giving them my best estimate and examples of others going through the process. :)

The second claim opens as a part of the process. You submit a claim with your MSC at the beginning to start the process. That is your final rating that you will get 30ish days after your retire/separation date.
The second claim in eBenefits is the claim that the VA uses to rate your UNFITTING condition. So basically whatever you are but in the MEB for, and the NARSUM provider puts in the unfitting conditions section of that NARSUM is your DoD rating.

For the VA to give you a DoD Rating, they have to rate that part specifically and they give a total rating for all the things they have on file at the same time. That second claim closes and they sent it to the PEB who publishes the DA199 with your conditions listed as well as a proposed total rating to be completed post service.

So, I did my final C&P yesterday. I have to say my experiences with some of the QTC contract places have been horrible. Providers were nice, but clinics were disgusting!

Anyway, while waiting for my vision exam yesterday, QTC called this place and was apparently asking for submissions that were late. The lady told them that she hoped she would have time to submit the ones for the patients seen on 01 Sep by COB. If I have to wait two weeks for that one exam to be uploaded, I'm gonna be pissed!

I just logged on to eBenefits and of course it says gathering evidence, but there are late documents from the VA. Would my MSC know what documents are needed and contact them?

I plan to pop over and see the MSC and PEBLO tomorrow just to touch base anyway.
