I started the MEB process on Jan 24th 2012. I have a PEBLO that is of no help to me at all. I find out info before she does. On ebenefits I have no estimated completion date. I have been in the Pending Decision Approval phase for over 50 days now. I was told last week, the day before July 4th I believe that I am waiting on the second signature. Since I have no PEBLO that does her job I do it for her. I have been in constant contact with the VA to stay updated. I'm sure I'm not the only one with issues concerning the PEBLO, but when will they do something about it? Hopefully I get this second signature soon and can move on to the next chapter in my life.

Just talked to the VA again. They said that on July 4th it was updated waiting on the second signature. My friend going through the same process got told that you can request a memo that has the rating information on it that the VA has estimated. The lady told him it could change. Ive called three times and not one time have I heard of that memo. Sorry to vent on here but I'm tired of this runaround game we play with them.
You just started in the end of Janurary and it's already at the VA and your complaining at not even 6 months?

Ebenefits can not be counted on all the time and also stop calling the VA hotline and wasting your time. The person you should talk to is your MSC (VA Rep) who can give you the most upto date info. If you don't know who your MSC is, call your PEBLO and find out who they are and their number (they have to give it to you, don't take no for an answer!)
Grizz I know that some of you have been in this over a year. I don't take no for an answer I'm a EOD Tech. I have spoken with my VA Rep and she doesn't give me anything but the timeline. The PEBLO doesn't do much either. So I take it upon myself to make phone calls. After ten years in I have learned that most of the time you can't count on a civilian working with the Army. So after calling the VA again I found out that my case is in the notification phase now. What are you being boarded for? I have ten different items with the VA two with the Army. I'm not one to set around and wait things out. If I can push and call them I will. I am not setting here doing nothing. Again I'm sorry for those who have taken so long I know it sucks. I'm just fortunate that mine did move along like it has.
Well just to update this thread. I was told by the VA that on 4 July my case was moved to the notification phase. But It is still waiting for one signature. Va told me their average was 29 days, however my PEBLO said it would probably take 10 days. Im so tired of noone information matching up. You get told completely different information either way. It has now been 21 days since I was moved into the notification phasee and still nothing. PEBLO doesnt know anything. Soon as I hang up with VA I'm calling the ombusman at Ft. Eustis. As well as the MEB Jag. I'm not just going to set around and let these people control how my life is going to go this is crap. We have to do what were told to do and when were told to do it. We have fought for our country for many years now. I'm tired of doing the right thing and the civilians doing whatever they feel like doing when the feel like doing it.
Sorry that you feel the same way I do, I basically have given up on anything Army until the day I am out. Then, I will run my life like I want to not everyone else. I hate feeling this way, but that is the only way I have gotten by...
You have to realize that YES your life IS in other peoples hands... They WILL be deciding what you will get for the rest of your life. The only rights you have at the moment is to appeal any findings and then that makes everything take even longer. Don't give up on who you are, but at the moment let go a little bit. There is nothing that you can do to speed anything up! It takes time to get things right, I would rather wait a few extra weeks to make sure things are T to T...
The only person who can give you the right answer is your MSC (VA Rep). They have access to the right system and can keep you better informed while things are at the VA.
Here's what I got, I am still waiting on transpoc to call me, but I have to wait till PDA HQ finalizes my packet. They have had it a week now and think something may get changed... We'll see!!!

Congratulations on your ratings. So after calling the Va yesterday I got some good news, I guess. While mine was being reviewed they found a spelling error. Said the VA had changed forms and some employees had not gotten used to the new form yet. Anyways, mine was sent over to a new set of individuals for when things like this happen it gets corrected faster. I was told the average for washington is still 29 days. However because mine went to the new individuals it should be done yesterday or today. Then sent out in the mail and should have it by the end of next week. So hopefully this holds true. Also called my PEBLO to update them again they had no idea about any of this. My PEBLO told me that the VA is not suppose to send me my ratings and that they are supposed to report the VA when they do. I had not heard of this anywhere on the forum. Dont know how true it is. Anyways, hopefully all goes well and I get my packet soon.
Hint: WA VA does not use snail mail any longer, they e-mail it in the VA system back to PEB now. It will take the PEB 2-4 weeks to "receive" it, even though it has been sitting in their in-box since the day it left the VA.
My MSC explained to me that the VA got my packet on 17 June and e-mailed it back to PEB on 18 June. I waited 3 1/2 weeks for my call to review my findings.
Well I got word from the va it is complete and was dated th 26th of July. I called my PEBLO nothing new in his system. Called my VA rep on post. Not what I expected. Who gave you that info? Where did you get that number? Why did you call? Like I did something wrong. Also said she can not tell me anything. Why does everyone act like this stuff is top secret? I simply want to be done. That's it. I'm tired of being made out like I did something wrong. Now just hoping I get a call soon.
Sounds like you MSC has issues doing their job helping people out... But atleast your ratings were done! Expect a call in the next 30 days, no reason to bother any one at the moment until your PEBLO calls you to go over the ratings. It will just piss you off more since your MSC is the only one that can see where it sits right now. Everyone else is blind right now!
We too are at Fort Lee and I swear these people make me wanna scream.... The second appt with him he forgot he had scheduled it and had another peblo do the meeting while he stood in the hall and talked and laughed...WTF? REALLY?! We have been in the pending approval notification for weeks and no one knows anything.
That's funny luvmysoldier, because mine told me to come see her today (mon) but again as usual she is out sick. If I had a job as important as this. I would be at work everyday I possibly could to ensure that the people's cases I had were taken care of.
grizz13 What am I looking at as far as timeline waiting for the PEB to send the DA199, and also then once I get that sign it to get orders cut?

Well its been over a week for me and still no packet from the VA. From what they said it should have been here by now. I'm tired and I give up. Our lives are in other peoples hands and until they are done piddling there is nothing I can do. I am told lies over the phone. When I called the VA last time I had to tell the person on the other end that my packet was done. They were still telling me the 29 day crap. Until someone from higher goes in and sees the problems it will never get fixed. These people on the phone just simply set there and read a screen. Thousands of Troops from all services are screwed on the daily. Noone seems to care.
I just have nothing good to say about any of this process, or the people paid to do this job.
