I am trying to get my Commander's Functional statement done, but I need some serious help. Does anyone have an example minus Personal Information that I could use. I can reword, I just need something to go off of.
gonna sound crazy, my commander had me write mine for him! get in an XFLD format, all form fill. I would suggest you ask to talk to the commander so he has a better idea of how your being effected and how is impacts your ability to do your job. Hard part is you really need to look at yourself and be honest.
I think I will have to do the same, but I honestly dont know how to do it or even how it is supposed to be worded. That is why I was asking for a completed example so I could work from that.
I wish I had it on digits, basically I mentioned how my issue (hearing loss) effects me and the performance of my duties, almost like writing bullet points on an NCOER, there are more portions to be filled out if there is TBI or BH issues going on as well.
I wrote one for one of my NCOs, he had PTSD and TBI. He was a recruiter and I wrote that his conditions limited his cognitive ability to the point he could not complete recruiting packets, short term memory loss prevented him from driving applicants to MEPs as he would get lost without a GPS, etc.
Nobody can help you write a statement without knowing your conditions first.
