Germany Timeline

@pacostes On my dashboard it still says I am in the VA Rating phase but the PEBLO stated that was completed 4 November. So 6 days later and still no update which means the NCRPEB has not pulled the information back to compile and complete the 199. At least this is what I have been told. It makes sense for 15 days and to receive it on day 19 especially since it could have been completed later in the week.

In regards to the LOR I have been told numerous different things ranging from 6 days to 4 weeks but then again this information is coming from the PEBLO here whereas the PEBLO in the states said at most is 10 days because a transpoc date needs to be assigned with it as well but who knows I am not an expert nor have I managed cases going through IDES. I would estimate no longer than 2 weeks though. That seems like the norm for here in Germany based on information I got from other people who have completed this process.

Yeah my dashboard wouldn't update promptly throughout the process and every Tuesday night it will update so make sure you check today because the dates will adjust accordingly, as of the LOR I've seen here in vilseck germany that most people get it within a week or so...I'll update the forum as I keep moving on the process. Thanks for the imput

LOR came back today, it took exactly 7 days including Saturday Sunday and veterans day

Wow that was quick. Any idea on final dates yet etc?

Not yet, I have all the required documents that I need to take to the transition office except for the leave form but when I turn this in transition has a max of 7 days to cut orders and 12 days to clear for me after that then hopefully home for the holidays

Congrats. I am hopeful I will be home by Christmas time if all goes well. Waiting on 199 now and its been 10 days so we shall see.

Spoke with the PEBLO today and my 199 is complete just waiting on a final signature.

Spoke with the PEBLO again today. No update as of 24 November.
Timeline for 199 is as follows:
4 November 2015 - Ratings Complete forwarded to PEB for 199
5 November 2015 - 199 typed sent for QA
13 November 2015 - 199 ready for signature
24 November - Still no signature and continuing to wait.

I am not sure why the 199 process has taken so long especially since it only requires a signature which will then allow it to be forwarded for PEBLO counsel and my review/signature etc.. Many individuals have entered the process after me and are waiting on a 199 right now and there are also individuals who entered the process the exact same day I did and completed their VA exams etc. the same time I did that recieved their 199 well over 2 weeks ago. This process has been a headache and extremely tedious especialy if you have a job lined up. Best of luck to everyone else and I wil update once the process begins to move forward again.

Update:
As of 2 December there is still no word on my 199 being completed. Now on day 28 of PEB Findings.

To caveat on my recent post from 2 December. On 3 December I was notified that there was an administrative error on the DA Form 199 in regards to my SSN being incorrect. It is currently back to the same part of the process that it was before the error was corrected and that is waiting on a signature. The PEB has been contacted and asked to speed up the process due to me receiving a job offer to start in the next 4-5 weeks.

Day 30 of waiting on DA Form 199
18 Days over the Army goal
19 days over Army 30 day Average.

Ratings are in.. Horrible to say the least but its not worth fighting while I am still in Germany since I have to get back to the states to start my new job.

10% DOD no V-Code / 20% VA - V4 No Recoupment of Severance

Signed and sent back for LOR.

Many of you will question why I am not fighting it.. Well simply because I was an idiot and never got seen for anything but rather just took matters into my own hand. I will do all of the evaluations after I leave this place and then open a new claim. Not worried about the money nor the retirement honestly.

Nonetheless, congratulations on the receipt and acceptance of your IPEB finding! :D Take care and enjoy life!

Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer!"

Best Wishes!

I'm sitting here in Germany waiting on my 199 to be finished. I had my ratings finished and sent to the PEB on 21 JAN. When I spoke with my EUR side PEBLO, they stated the 199 hasn't even been typed up yet as of 2 days ago.
Does anyone even know who is responsible for typing them up?

I'm 90% sure they're typed up in Seattle somewhere and then they're sent to DC to be reviewed. I know Seattle and DC are the two locations where they are done.

Good news is I'm stuck in the next bottleneck of waiting for signatures but I'm unsure whether I should harass my PEBLO with another phone call or not. It's causing me some anxieties honestly.

Update: Signed my 199 a week ago and now I got my LOR back TODAY. That's gotta be a record turn around.

PEB Findings?????
In Germany, hoping that most people's timelines for this has been about a month (from VA finding to receiving 199) does this seem to be the case from what people have seen or heard?

My command team, PEBLO/his boss and I had a meeting last week iced trying to figure out why I've been waiting 90 days for my 199, when others are getting there's back in under 30 days. After some heated discussions, my PEBLO's boss decides that'd we'd call the head of the PEB and get it from the horses mouth.

Long and short of it is this:

< 30 or TDRL - you'll get your 199 back ridiculously quick

> 30 and PDRL - get comfortable, it'll be a while

It seems that the month long wait is usually referring to the 199 being generated. My findings were done in 4 weeks.

There's still an additional waiting period after the 199 is finished for it to be approved by the PEB president who is supposed to be an O6, that's where the 199s are piling up at because it's usually one person approving or disapproving them. My 199 was approved after waiting close to 30 days?

Mine took a little while and regardless of the percentage your getting it depends on where it gets stuck at. Most of the time it is with final signature authority and then back and forth for corrections.

Today is Day one out of the Army. I received my severance pay and my final 5 day paycheck today but.. no one has updated my DEERS record so I am still on Tricare Prime Overseas for the next 120 days and then I will switch to trice prime east for 180 days. During this time frame of my leave I have been the civilian providers for the same issue I had while in and I already have three MRI's, 18 xray films, 6 ortho visits and two recommendations for surgery to fix what was messed up from surgery while in Germany. All of these documents will be provided to the VA in hopes they admit the ratings were due to poor diagnosis which would then change the ratings but at this time my job pays well and I can harass the VA to correctly assign ratings now.
