Here is a DFAS calculator for an estimate of what you could be receiving - once the VA is done finalizing your ratings.

VA notifies DFAS and then DFAS updates their pay - can take 3-6 months for VA to kick in from discharge date.

It can come sooner than that - mine took 3 1/2 months after discharge date for everything to shake out and roll into my bank account.

I was 70% DoD and 100% VA.

Received all my 70% DoD (minus taxes) until VA finalized my claim - then VA notified DFAS and the off-sets kicked in.

Look at your MyPay account as sometimes the next pay period data will post ahead of schedule on the website and this can give you an early "heads up".

You should also receive a hard copy via snail mail from DFAS when they update and process the VA claim. It will tell you how much each one will pay, and break it down to the penny and the notification will also give you the date you will start receiving all this.

Make sure DFAS has all current info on you thru MyPay to include exemptions, state of residence and current address, etc.
