I was retired by the USCG with 30% retirement. I was the first PDBR-USCG case. It took 18 months but i am finally glad it is over. If anybody wants to know what i was retired for just PM me and i will gladly tell you all the details. Now, onward to Fort Belvoir to get my new ID card.

Cheers!

Is 30% what you got from the VA and the board agreed? Also what was your case # if you dont mind. Im 493 and still waiting. My claim got sent to adjucation unit in feb any idea on timeline from that point? Congrats on getting retired! Glad to see another success. Enjoy!

Is it a TDRL or PDRL retirement? Makes a huge difference.

I was docket number 144-09. The USCG sat on the PDBR recommendations for 3 months. Being their first one they didn't know how to proceed.

I sent in my application in early February 2009 and the PDBR send over their recommendations in March of 2010 to the USCG.

You should not not have to wait much longer.

I am placed on the PDRL.

The VA rated me 30% for OCD/Panic Disorder w/agoraphobia in 2003, my first rating after discharge. The USCG gave me 10% in 2003. I'm just glad i don't have to go through DFAS to sort out the pay issue. The USCG has their own pay center. Thank the Lord because DFAS is slooowwww. It took them a year to finish processing all my PCS vouchers.

Thanks for the info. Enjoy your retirement!

Thanks! I would assume you should hear any time now. I hope you get your retirement. I did contact both of my Senators but they were helpful in getting an answer from the PDBR but it took forever too. Good luck!!!
