Grade determination board

I received all of my DOD and VA ratings and signed my 199 and such October 25, 2021. However, I had to ask for a grade determination because 5 years ago I resigned my commission to serve as a medic in the NG instead of as a LTC sitting behind a desk for the rest of my time. (I held O4 for 4plus years.) PEBLO says it is an easy case for the grade determination board, but doesn’t know how long the board will take. Anyone have any idea how often these grade determination boards meet or take to process?

Hey Red,
Did you ever get an answer? I am currently awaiting my Retirement orders from a 50%DOD/100%P&T decision on 28 Oct 2022, but the process has stopped for a grade determination due to a recent demotion on 25 Oct 2022. How long did it take you?

My packet never made it to the Board and they retired me at the lower rank. I had to submit a packet to the Army Board for Correction of Military Records (ABCMR). They messed that up to and I had to contact my congressmen. In short, if you are lucky enough to get the the Board and not skip it, I have no idea how long the board will take.

Thanks for the reply. Honestly they could retire me at E-1 at this point. I'm just so done with the whole thing as I can't even lay foundations to transition Civilian life/Job until they give me a hard date. But your answer does help illuminate what's going on in the meantime. Thanks

I skipped the grade determination board in 2015 and I regret it. I am still fighting the board to get paid at e-6 which I held for 6+ years
