Your puretone threshold average is 32.5 for both ears. That puts you in the 0-41 column in Table VI. You should have a Maryland Speech Discrimination Score also (it should be a % in each ear) on your C&P exam. that will give you the percentage for the % of discrimination rows on Table VI. Cross that percentage for each ear with 0-41 puretone column and that will give you a roman numeral for each ear.Can somebody help me make better sense of this? Thank you!
So my speech discrimination wasYour puretone threshold average is 32.5 for both ears. That puts you in the 0-41 column in Table VI. Take the two roman numerals and go to the bottom Table VII. The higher number (ie, VIII) is your poorer ear, and the lower number (ie, II) is your better ear on the chart. See where they meet. In my example, VIII and II=10% rating.
I was a II and I, so I got service connection at 0%. But hopefully you claimed tinnitus which is 10%.
