Does anyone know how they rate heart rate? I had 2 heart surgeries and ever since them my resting heart rate has been around 113bpm. One doctor kept telling me its fine. Then I went in the other day to get a check up and was seen by a new doctor and he asked me if I had been working out pretty hard because of my heart rate and I told him about how it has been and its been that way for over 6 months now. He then asked if I thought it was normal. I told him hell no I didnt think it was normal my normal heart rate is high 30s low 40s (I run marathons) I also said I could understand it going up since I havent been able to do anything working out wise but I would think maybe 60-70s. But I told him the Dr. before him told me it was a normal thing and I pretty much decided to wait to get MEB'd out then I would get a civilian Dr's thoughts on the whole thing. Then after I guess the doctor talked to my MEB doctor who is writting my paper work so the MEB doctor called me and told me we are going to wait another month to finish writing the paper work to see if my heart rate changes. This makes no sense to me they have over 6 months of blood pressure and heart rate checks that are all the exact same all around 113bpm resting and what is one more month really going to do. Its going to be over 7 months from start of MEB till my Paperwork is finally finished then Im going and have to wait another 5-6 months for the paper work to go all the way through.... I'm pretty much under the idea that they take so long because they know by the time we finally get the paper work and our % we are so pissed off and just want to get out we will sign about anything.
