Hi Everyone,
I’ve served a total of 13 years—7 on active duty and 6 in the reserves. I’m currently rated 100% Permanent & Total by the VA, and I’m facing some tough decisions about continuing in the reserves. Due to ongoing health issues and physical limitations, I haven’t been able to take a PT test in the past three years.
As much as I’d like to keep serving, I’m no longer able to meet deployment or fitness requirements. I’m unsure how to begin the process of stepping away, and I’d really appreciate any guidance or advice on what steps I need to take to get things started.
This isn’t an easy decision, and I’m feeling a bit lost. Any help or insight would mean a lot—thank you in advance.
