Help with this claim.. VCO says I'm good to go but this claim is still open

What does this claim process mean? What do I need to do on my part?

"Ret Pay Amt Needed From DFAS"

"Our review of your claim indicates that you may be receiving military retired pay. Please tell us if you are receiving or expect to receive military retired pay or any other military benefit."

I tried calling dfas but they weren't much help. I called the VA and they refered me to dfas.

Is there anything I need to do or do I just let all this play out?

Do exactly what they are asking.

Complete for VA Form 21-4138-ARE (Statement in Support of Claim) and upload it to eBenefits, mail or fax in, alternately you can turn into your local VA office (they time stamp it and electronically send). Here is a link to the form. https://www.vba.va.gov/pubs/forms/VBA-21-4138-ARE.pdf

The VA wants to know if you are expected to receive any form of retirement (even if it is supposed to be offset by your C&P award).

Thanks for clearing this up. I've called both the VA and dfas and non of them where able to explain this to me. I will fill out this form and send it in. Thanks!
