I need help understanding what timeline for Navy medboards looks like. My package was supposedly accepted by the PEB 4 weeks ago. I called the PEB today and was told it's still with the board and being voted on. Does anyone know how long that process takes and what the next steps are? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the insight on your timeline. What is the VA 1000 number you are referring to?

800-698-2411.
I just the prompt for claim status. Some reps will give you info, others just read a generic script saying they can’t give you anything since you’re enrolled in IDES and tell you to reach out to your MSC. It’s really just luck of the draw.

Thanks for number, I gave them a call and was told I'm in the "decision phase" but no timeline given from the VA for the process.

Followed up with PEB today, stated "sent to VA yesterday, should hear back from them next week." If that timeline is correct would that include QA phase too?

You can call the PEB instead of going through your PEBLO?
Call this number, 15714420592, and someone will ask you a couple questions and then will usually tell you a generic update. I've never gotten specific details in terms of a time expected.

Have you heard back from PEB following VA proposal?

My timeline was similar with my IDES being initiated in August 2023, and I got my PEB findings back on June 12th, 2024. You should get your PEB findings and VA proposed rating at the same time, in the same letter. I signed with my PEBLO on June 25th, and my PEBLO said she would send it up to PERS. PERS will generate message traffic to my command within 1-2 weeks and I'll be cut retirement orders.

I need some assistance understanding the ratings, IDES counsel is gone for the weekend and training next week and I want to sign my documents today. I got my informal board findings back that state 90% combined disability. My VA paper in the mail says 100%. Just so i understand, 90% dod/ 100% VA correct?

Before you sign, did you have a meeting with your attorney?
