How does my case look? Please help

I was found unfit by the MEB and I am waiting on my PEB results. If found unfit by the PEB I am going to appeal. My MEB condition is right knee patellar femoral syndrome (right knee pain; tore my ACL) I was never given proper time to recover and was conducting airborne operations 8 months after my surgery. Since I've gotten my P3 profile and have had time to actually recover and strengthen my knee I'm feeling great! I've conducted an APFT and passed the run, finished a 12 mile ruck in under 3 hours, gotten letters of recommendation from my physical therapist saying I have full range of motion and can squat, pivot, twist etc all under weight. How does a case like this look in the eyes of a formal PEB? What else should I provide to help my case? I am all open ears, thank you in advance for any and all the help

If you have a strong NMA, as well as, all of that paperwork from your Physical Therapist is included in your medical record, I don't see why the board would find you UNFIT, and even if it isn't, yet, and your NARSUM (from your Orthopedic Dr., I presume) is not promising and is worded in such a way that he/she feels it impedes your ability to perform your job, as you said, you've improved greatly since that time and have full strength and range of motion, etc., you will have strong evidence supporting a FIT finding from the FPEB.

But to me, what is key, is going to be what was written in your NMA. If your command leadership stated that there is little to no impact upon you being able to perform the functions of your MOS and paygrade, then that will go a long way to supporting a FIT finding.

Also, did you submit a Personal Statement stating, very strongly, that is, that you wish to continue on Active Duty? the PEB will take that into consideration as well.

I say this because I'm now undergoing my 2nd IPEB, and have only made it this far due to what my JAG informed me of at the time; that my strong, supportive NMA in favor of remaining Active Duty, along with my strong desire to stay, trumped a strong NARSUM stating otherwise.

I agree with the post above. Your command input will be important, as is the additional medial information and the APFT pass.

Hello TylerJackson27, I have a quick question about your C&P exams for your knee. What was your ROM for your knees? Also, did it state that you had Ankylosis? I have the same problem with my knee and trying to figure out what percentage I will get.

My ROM was

Flexion: 0-90
Extension: 90-0

But he did not state that I had ankylosis. He did state that I had Disturbance of locomotion and
Interference with standing.

Trying to just figure this all out.
