Hoping to get some clarity on a scenario I was given advice on. I have buddy letters from my wife and from a good friend in the Army stating that I had issues that refer to my claimed conditions with no medical evidence. I'm on my medboard and I'm hoping this will be enough to establish service connection and diagnostics will be ran during the exam. Am I misguided or is this the way to go?

Have you had the C&P exam yet? If not go to sick call for it! Make sure to bring the paperwork for that visit to your C&P exam.
If you have already had the C&P exam you can upload the paperwork for the visit to VA.gov afterwards.
No medical diagnosis = claim automatically denied.
Buddy letters are sometimes used in appeals. If you can, get it in your records.
Can't get a VA rating without a diagnosis. Its possible the C&P examiner can diagnose based on medical records but if no medical records then no way to have diagnosis. Buddy Letters can help for supplemental claim but only if you have a diagnosis.
When a diagnosis is made, after service, buddy letters can be used to connect the presence of symptoms to an earlier date; thus establishing SC.
