How Important is NARSUM

I just received my NARSUM on yesterday. On it it states all of conditions fairly accurate besides my neck condiition. Maybe because I just started treatment. My main concern is that it states on there that my C&P exams and Military records are inconsistent. Saying that my military records says I have full ROM but my C&P says that I have limitations in my ROM. I've never received a ROM test while serving. All I was asked was bend forward and I would tell them that it hurts. Doing my C&P exams I simple told the doc when I felt pain and she documented accordingly. Two different approaches. Should I fight the NARSUM in this case? And will the NARSUM have a huge effect on my VA rating? It all seem very opinionated. Thanks for the help in advance. This process is long and kindof confusing. LOL

The NARSUM is just a summary of conditions. The board will have access to all your medical records. While it would be nice if the NARSUM was a 100%, I think your records will fill out the complete picture for the board.

Best wishes

Here is one. Recd call from doctor to go over NARSUM (I'm AD but don't live near AD post). He says he has to find me return to duty since he doesn't have any of my civilian medical records covering two years, which referred me to MEB. Records were sent by me but never uploaded by someone. What should I do?

The doctor can make his opinion known to the local DAWG, but AFPC/IPEB makes the final call on fitness for duty.

*AF answer. I can't tell what branch you are.
