How long does it take to get separation orders?

I signed for my findings on April 3rd, the message came in April 24th, I didn’t get it until May 4th, turned everything in and it was submitted May 12th, and I’ve been waiting since then for orders
Damn, I'm 26 April

I think its worth mentioning because others will read this -- per the separation message, you dont need to schedule a separation physical. VA exams count as sep/ret physicals. My installation, which is a hub for LIMDU didnt even know that even though it is clear as day in the message. They have been having sailors go schedule appointments with medical.

This process is so weird.. hope you get some good news soon.

Makes me want to choke someone.

If that's still the situation a week from now, I would start hammering on your command admin. At that point I would be almost certain that your message is in traffic and they just haven't found it.
Well amusingly enough only one person at the command gets them and he's on paternity leave. Makes sense.

I am not very familiar with how these orders are handed out but I signed findings on 18May and was told I would receive orders 1-3 weeks. After reading this thread, it seems like the process goes 1-3 weeks for the message to separate, then the separation package is submitted, then after another unknown wait, you receive orders with your last date in the Navy? No date for separation in the message?

The initial PDRL/TDRL Sep authorization message will have your final out processing date and your official last day in the message

Give it a week. Then ping TSC Norfolk via MNCC ticket.
I hit up the Human Resources about my orders via MNCC. This is what they said.

“Good Day.

Thank you for contacting MyNavy Career Center (MNCC). My name is Kayla and I am with the Customer Satisfaction Department. I was reviewing Case #02654737 regarding your retirement orders.
Unfortunately, we are unable to assist you at this time. PERS-836 does not have oversight of retirement orders. Retirement orders are sent from TSC Norfolk.
However, in order to gain assistance with this issue, please speak with TSC Norfolk. To reach TSC Norfolk, you can work with your command's admin to inquire about having your retirement orders expedited.

Thank you for your service.

Very Respectfully,
Kayla R.

Yes, you will get a date for separation from the message, but it doesn't have the authority for household goods. You have to wait for that until the orders.

Holy asinine response.

Email [email protected] and tell them, maybe you can get them forwarded directly. Or submit an MNCC ticket with the same info/request.
They released my date a week ago. They told me to have my command contact them. Sadly we have another guy who's been struggling to get our command to contact them so we'll see what happens.

Did you go through MNCC? Also how did you ask about it?

That’s quick. I know my admin is pretty much people who are like a year into the navy. So I don’t have much faith in them looking through message traffic
