How long does LDES take?

My friend is doing LDES and is wondering how long it takes. He is active duty Navy. Thank you.

Not sure that was the best choice because there is such a backlog at the PEB. Going LDES only skips the C&P exams but since the wait is very long at the PEB it will take the same time as those in IDES. My guess is 9 months to a year unless the backlog gets caught up at the PEB choke point.

Oh wow that’s crazy, I’ll let him know. His doctor told him he’d be out in 3 months, max.
