I'm still waiting on my separation orders. I signed my findings for unfit December 30, 2015 and as of today (Jan 25, 2016) I haven't heard anything yet. I called the point of contact for release message at PERS-82 but they haven't received anything from PEB. Once they get the release index number, they can write up the message in 1-2 days (at least that's what he said). I checked with my PEBLO and he told me to "just keep waiting." I've spoken to multiple sailors here at the school I'm instructing and they all received their orders within 2-2.5 weeks.
Congrats, Crazy Pants. Did your PEB get processed through Walter Reed? I'm not sure if everyone gets their PEB processed from a single point or not. It seems like Walter Reed is holding mine up.

Nice! Congrats. I got really frustrated about not getting my orders that I gave a Commander at PEB a call. Very helpful person who sounds compassionate and willing to go above and beyond to answer our questions. He informed me that, although I signed for my findings 30 December 2015, they didn't receive it on their end until 15 January 2016. Coupled with the holiday and snow storm shutting down the Federal government from Friday to 11AM on Wednesday, he told me that my files will be sent to PERS-82 either today or tomorrow, but no guarantees, however definitely by Monday or Tuesday next week. I'm super excited end this very long process and move on with my life.
I'm curious as well on this one. My command let me go on 20 days of house hunting job hunting without orders, so I'm packing up my house and getting ready to leave, but need the orders for my dd214/move payment info.
Sorry about the long wait for my reply. I actually did get my orders. I have been significantly busy with my move after getting my orders. I also started a new job, so it has been consuming a lot of my time.
Nevertheless, this was my timeline in acknowledging my finding and getting orders.
I acknowledged my findings in December during the holiday standdown. If I remember correctly, it was December 29th. My PEBLO told me that it was submitted to PEB that day. However, when I called PEB late Jan, they told me that they received it Jan 15th and needed 30 days from that point on. It was further delayed with winter storm, holidays, etc.
My command received the PERS message late afternoon on Feb 5th for my release. I found out Feb 8th. Orders were drafted up and ready for me on the 16th of Feb (15th was a holiday). I detached from command and went on terminal on the 18th.
The person I called at PEB was a commander (I lost his number). He was helpful but really couldn't do much for me at that moment. Another person that helped me out was a different PEBLO down in Bethesda. His name is Gunnery Sargent Michael Phipps. His phone number is 301-295-2143. He initially told me that he wasn't my PEBLO and was slightly confused at why I was calling him and not my PEBLO. But after explaining that my PEBLO was some civilian dude that kept on telling me to wait with no further help, he jumped through hoops to find out about my case. He made few phone calls to PEB and tracked my case down. I don't know if he had any impact in moving my case along, but I like to believe that he was a significant help in that process.
