HQ Directed MEDBOARD despite FFF from specialists and PCM

My first year and a half on shore duty I was placed on LIMDU. I was on LIMDU over 12 months because no specialist was able to identify what I had going on. I finally had some specialists who identified the issue. Even though I'm completely recovered and all my military specialists and PCM say I am fit for full with no limitations and my conditions
will not reoccur I was directed to a MEDBOARD because of not being deployable for >18 months. I'm also a submarine sailor and the UMO has also agreed that I would be fit to return to sub duty. The frustrating part is I AM TRYING to go back to a boat and with heightened tensions around the world it is even more frustrating that I have to wait another 6-9 months of non-deployability to do the entire MEDBOARD process. PCM and specialist are not recommending MEDBOARD and if Conveying Authority also doesn't recommend I was told I would still have to go to one because HQ directed it.

Any insights or guidance?
